We'd like to express our sincere gratitude to the community partners and volunteers involved in the Neighbor 4 Neighbor program. This year, the program provided 750 households with Thanksgiving baskets, 943 households with holiday food for the Christmas season and 901 children with gifts. From the fire departments and volunteers who help us deliver holiday food boxes countywide to the many businesses, organizations, and individuals who purchase gifts for kids, this program is truly a community effort. There are a few community Thanksgiving dinners happening tomorrow, Thursday the 24th! The Open Door Soup Kitchen 180 Depot St., Unity, ME 04988 The Open Door Soup Kitchen has served warm holiday meals to its guests for nearly 20 years, and this year, it is offering free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals onsite in Unity.
