This constitutionally mandated count is foundational to our democracy and shapes the future of our communities by determining representation and legislative district, distribution of federal dollars, and local decisions around the expansion of services and economic development. WCAP was lucky enough to have been invited to be a part of the Belfast Maine Rotary Club’s Belfast Harborfest Evening by the Bay event on August 16, 2019. The event was held to raise funds for our organization. Members of our Board of Directors and staff came together to volunteer. We served up some amazing dishes from local restaurants and made so many new friends, including Miss Maine! Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of August. The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in April 2014, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. Waldo Community Action Partners was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hannaford located at 93 Lincolnville Avenue in Belfast.
