2023 Backpack Application

It’s back-to-school season, and Waldo Community Action Partners wants to make sure your child kicks off the school year ready to learn! School supplies will be available free of charge to income eligible families living in Waldo County. Backpacks are prepackaged with a wide variety of age-appropriate supplies to accommodate the needs of students enrolled in Pre-K to 12th grade.
Pickups will be held throughout the month of August, with distribution events held on Tuesday, August 15th at Mount View Schools in Thorndike and Friday, August 18th at Leroy H Smith School in Winterport. Appointments can also be scheduled for pick up at the Waldo CAP office at 9 Field Street in Belfast the week of August 21th- 25th or on Saturday, August 26th.

You will need to bring your child’s MaineCare card, WIC information, or other proof of income to the appointment. Applications should be returned by August 1st to secure your appointment.
