Waldo Community Action Partners is honored to announce its participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program as a Sponsor of Family Day Care Homes. CACFP is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating childcare centers, day care homes, and adult day care centers. June 10, 2022, BELFAST, MAINE - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has designated available funding of $26,291 through ARPA-R and $8,511 through Phase 39 to be distributed through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to organizations who provide emergency food and shelter services in Waldo County. Applications are now open through July 1, 2022. EFSP funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. Please take note of the following important change to the Mid-Coast Connector cancellation policy for all MaineCare transportation. Effective July 1, 2022 we will require a 24-hour notice from the scheduled time of pick up to cancel transportation. Cancellations less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of pick up will be subject to the No-Show policy. If you have any questions about this change, please reach out to customer service at Tel: 855 930 7900 during regular business hours Mon-Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Waldo Community Action Partners is excited to announce a new initiative that is building off of last year’s Summer Food Service Program for Children – Community Cafés! However, we need your help to make it happen. Starting the week of June 23rd, we will be hosting ‘Community Cafés’ in a couple sites in Waldo County. Community Cafés will bring together seniors, children and families in communities to help address isolation and promote engagement with neighbors. Concerned about rapidly rising fuel prices? Are your windows drafty? Insulating window inserts from the non-profit WindowDressers can make your home more comfortable.
