WCAP will be having a Drive-up Community Food Pantry on Wednesday, March 25th from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Jabine Head Start Center, 275 High Street. Community members are welcome to drive through and accept a pre-packaged bag of food donated by the Good Shepard Food Bank. We ask that you remain in your vehicle and follow the established traffic pattern. Bags will be brought to you. The Cinderella Project of Maine is proud to announce that it will be holding prom dress giveaways in both Belfast and Gardiner again this year. The Gardiner giveaway will be Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner. The Belfast giveaway will be on Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Renys Plaza, where there will also be a representative from Belfast City Drawers, who will offer free bra fittings to students and any adult that brings a student. Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of August. The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in April 2014, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. Waldo Community Action Partners was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hannaford located at 93 Lincolnville Avenue in Belfast.
