Cafés will be at the Burnham Town Hall from 11am-1pm and the Waldo Pierce Library (Frankfort) from 12-2pm. For Your Awareness: **NOTICE** USDA, Rural Development (RD) recently received reports of homeowners receiving letters offering special assistance through the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and Making Home Affordable trial programs for loans that are delinquent. June 10, 2022, BELFAST, MAINE - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has designated available funding of $26,291 through ARPA-R and $8,511 through Phase 39 to be distributed through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to organizations who provide emergency food and shelter services in Waldo County. Applications are now open through July 1, 2022. EFSP funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. Please take note of the following important change to the Mid-Coast Connector cancellation policy for all MaineCare transportation. Effective July 1, 2022 we will require a 24-hour notice from the scheduled time of pick up to cancel transportation. Cancellations less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of pick up will be subject to the No-Show policy. Waldo Community Action Partners is excited to announce a new initiative that is building off of last year’s Summer Food Service Program for Children – Community Cafés! Concerned about rapidly rising fuel prices? Are your windows drafty? Insulating window inserts from the non-profit WindowDressers can make your home more comfortable.
