June 10, 2022, BELFAST, MAINE - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has designated available funding of $26,291 through ARPA-R and $8,511 through Phase 39 to be distributed through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to organizations who provide emergency food and shelter services in Waldo County. Applications are now open through July 1, 2022. EFSP funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. Change in cancellation policy for MaineCare transportation.

Please take note of the following important change to the Mid-Coast Connector cancellation policy for all MaineCare transportation. Effective July 1, 2022 we will require a 24-hour notice from the scheduled time of pick up to cancel transportation. Cancellations less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of pick up will be subject to the No-Show policy. If you have any questions about this change, please reach out to customer service at Tel: 855 930 7900 during regular business hours Mon-Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Waldo Community Action Partners is excited to announce a new initiative that is building off of last year’s Summer Food Service Program for Children – Community Cafés! WCAP Requesting Proposals for Building Project

Waldo Community Action Partners (Waldo CAP), a private, non-profit 503(c) organization located in Belfast, Maine, is requesting proposals to help establish a building project vision for a 78-acre parcel of land located in Belfast, Maine.  Contract would likely begin summer of 2022 for a period of one year, with renewal options.  Due date for proposal submission is May 16, 2022.  For the full RFP document, please email rfp@waldocap.org.
