New Transportation Services Available In The City Of Machias - Every Friday Starting May 15, 2026 MidCoast Public Transportation is excited to announce a weekly DASH bus route in the City of Machias has been started. The Machias DASH operates every Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with several designated stops along the route. Regular Scheduled Transportation Service From Belfast To Rockland Is Now Available MidCoast Public Transportation has returned to providing round trip transportation services on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from Belfast to Rockland – Thomaston Commons Plaza. Fare is $3.00 one- way, payment is required upon boarding. 12 Punch passes are available for $30.00; price includes two free one-way trips. With the support of the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT), Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) is now offering public transportation services in Hancock and Washington counties. The organizations quickly mobilized and facilitated the new service when a previous provider halted operations on September 30. The new service began on October 21.
