The Homeowner Assistance Fund Program is Winding Down

Maine Housing has announced that the HAF program has entered its final phase. We will stop accepting new HAF applications for processing on January 10th at 5:00PM. If you were planning to apply for HAF, please be sure to have your application SIGNED before 5:00 PM on January 10, 2024. Please call us at 338-6809 and ask for the WCAP Housing Department if you need help signing and submitting your application. Effective December 4th, 2023, MidCoast Public Transportation will require payment before boarding, using exact fare by cash or check, for all public transportation services. Waldo County organizations invited to apply for food and shelter program funds

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has designated available funding of $12,886 through Phase 40 to be distributed through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to organizations who provide emergency food and shelter services in Waldo County. Applications are now open through October 2, 2023. EFSP funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.
