Waldo Community Action Partners is poised to continue as the premiere transportation provider in Maine’s MidCoast region despite a recent Maine Supreme Court decision that effectively awards the MDOT Region 5 Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Brokerage to an out-of-state based provider. MidCoast Connector, a program of Waldo Community Action Partners, has been the trusted Non-Emergency Medical Transportation broker in MDOT Region 5 for more than a decade, providing a critical service for people who lack transportation to medical appointments throughout our rural region in Midcoast Maine. Union River Center for Innovation (URCI) Welcomes Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP)
With the support of the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT), Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) is now offering public transportation services in Hancock and Washington counties. The organizations quickly mobilized and facilitated the new service when a previous provider halted operations on September 30. The new service began on October 21. WCAP operates MidCoast Public Transportation, providing public transportation in Waldo, Knox, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties. Waldo CAP announces availability of 2025 Neighbor for Neighbor food and gift applications
Waldo CAP and the Neighbor for Neighbor Coalition are pleased to present the 2025 application for holiday assistance to Waldo County residents. BELFAST – Waldo Community Action Partners announces its participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program. Meals are available at no separate charge to all enrolled participants. Waldo Community Action Partners is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
