Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) was pleased to learn of our successful bid to purchase the University of Maine-owned Hutchinson Center as announced on Friday, November 15. Recognizing that there is a process to follow, WCAP intends to engage in thoughtful and intentional planning as the organization prepares for its future. A new Eviction Prevention Program is now available to tenants who may be facing an eviction and loss of their housing. This program is administered under a contract with MaineHousing by the Quality Housing Coalition (QHC) of Portland. Once applications are complete, they will be processed on a first-come first-served basis. Waldo CAP opens New Neighbor for Neighbor Digital Applications

Waldo Community Action Partners opened their 2024 registration season for the Neighbor for Neighbor Coalition's holiday food boxes and Christmas gifts for children on Monday, September 16. Paper applications remain available at community locations such as town offices, libraries, and also at Waldo CAP's main offices located at 9 Field Street, Belfast, Suite 201.
