Waldo CAP and the Neighbor for Neighbor Coalition are pleased to present the 2025 application for holiday assistance to Waldo County residents. Waldo Community Action Partners kicked off a year of honor and celebration Monday as they embark on their 60th year of service to the people of Waldo County and beyond. Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) has learned that all Federal Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) staff are no longer with the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, we have learned that the regional Head Start Office in Boston, which serves all of New England, has been closed. This is very concerning, but we are uncertain about the administration’s long-term plans for either program. We are working with state partners, MaineHousing, and our Congressional Delegation to obtain answers.
