Waldo Community Action Partners opened their 2024 registration season for the Neighbor for Neighbor Coalition's holiday food boxes and Christmas gifts for children on Monday, September 16. Paper applications remain available at community locations such as town offices, libraries, and also at Waldo CAP's main offices located at 9 Field Street, Belfast, Suite 201. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has designated available funding of $12,832 through Phase 41 to be distributed through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) to organizations that provide emergency food and shelter services in Waldo County. Applications are now open through Thursday, August 29, 2024. EFSP funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.
