For more than a decade, WCAP’s Cinderella Project of Maine prom dress giveaway events have put the health and wellbeing of students and their families at the core of the project’s standards. It is that very standard that has led us to respond proactively to the current challenges our state now faces relative to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Cinderella Project of Maine’s parent organization, Waldo Community Action Partners (WCAP) has made the decision to align its preventative efforts regarding gatherings with the Cinderella Project of Maine’s partner, Gardiner Area High School, as well as the Maine CDC. Per the Maine Center for Disease Control’s recommendation to limit large gatherings of 250 people or more, WCAP’s Cinderella Project of Maine prom dress giveaway events scheduled for March 21 in Gardiner and April 4 in Belfast will be postponed until further notice.
