Cinderella Project of Maine to hold prom dress giveaways in January and April this year


The Cinderella Project of Maine is proud to announce that it will be holding prom dress giveaways in both Belfast and Gardiner again this year—however, the two locations will offer the giveaways at different times of year. The Gardiner giveaway will be earlier this year and will be on Sunday, January 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner. There will not be a giveaway in Gardiner in April. Waldo Community Action Partners wants to make sure your child kicks off the school year ready to learn! School supplies will be available FREE of charge to Waldo County eligible families on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Please call (207) 338-6809 to set up an appointment. You will need to bring your child’s MaineCare or WIC folder to the appointment for proof of income.

Boy Scout donates 5 refurbished laptops to WCAP for families in need


  Ben Dargon, a student at Waldo County Technical Center (WCTC), decided to combine his love for technology with his desire to do good for the community, by developing an avenue for laptops refurbished by WCTC Computer Careers students to be made available for free to Waldo County families and individuals who aren't able to afford a computer.   Dargon decided to approach Waldo Community Action Partners about his idea as part of his Eagle Scout project.
