Waldo Community Action Partners is excited to announce a new initiative that is building off of last year’s Summer Food Service Program for Children – Community Cafés! However, we need your help to make it happen. Starting the week of June 23rd, we will be hosting ‘Community Cafés’ in a couple sites in Waldo County. Community Cafés will bring together seniors, children and families in communities to help address isolation and promote engagement with neighbors. Concerned about rapidly rising fuel prices? Are your windows drafty? Insulating window inserts from the non-profit WindowDressers can make your home more comfortable. Their volunteer team is now accepting orders for the fall build season. Starting this year, the Searsport and Belfast organizing teams are merging their resources to better support the need in Waldo County for these affordable window inserts. Waldo Community Action Partners (Waldo CAP), a private, non-profit 503(c) organization located in Belfast, Maine, is requesting proposals to help establish a building project vision for a 78-acre parcel of land located in Belfast, Maine.
