Please note the following changes to the Rockland and Belfast Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH) bus route schedules, effective Monday, July 8th, 2019: We have carefully designed these new routes and schedules using data gathered during the past year of testing the new DASH system. The new routes are based on passenger use, analysis of which stops are being used, feedback from the communities regarding the need for new stops, and fiscal feasibility studies. The Waldo County Child Abuse Prevention Council will offer 1-2-3 Magic, a free parenting class for parents or caretakers of children ages 2 to 12, that teaches evidence-based tools in a fun, supportive environment. This program keeps parents in charge and is proven to be effective. Parents and caregivers will strengthen their relationships with their children, learn how to control negative behavior while encouraging good behavior. Waldo Community Action Partners’ Heroes 4 Hunger program has been hard at work planning and fundraising for one of Waldo County’s largest annual collaborative efforts— its Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Box Projects.
